Three Animal Behavior That Man Must Emulate

Every living thing has its own behavior. Plants has the behavior of making their own food; humans tend to behave as how they are treated; animals have different behavior. We could emulate some of their behavior. However, I'd like to copy the behavior of the hawk, the dolphin, and the dog.

  

First are the hawks. They soar high in the sky. We should emulate them because we should soar great heights. We should always be on top, but we shouldn't be boasting. We should always aim to be the best. 

Next are the dolphins. Dolphins are very intelligent creatures. We must always be intelligent in everything that we do. We should be intelligent in making choices in life. For example, in studying; We must choose to study our lessons than to play computer games or use twitter. Another example is when choosing a president or any leader during elections. If we aren't wise in making choices, bad things may happen. That's why we must always be intelligent, just like the dolphins.

  

Last are the dogs. Dogs are obedient to their trainers or owners. We should always be obedient to our parents, teachers, elders, and especially to God. We must always obey God's word. We shall also abide by the rules of our parents.

Hawks soar great heights. Dolphins are intelligent. Dogs are obedient. Those are the animals and their behavior I would like to emulate. 

Formal Dinner '13

 
Darwin International School (my school) is holding an activity called Formal Dinner yearly.

The Formal Dinner (FD) has two parts: modeling, and dining.

The FD aims to develop a student's personality. Darwin helps their students develop self-esteem and good posture through the modeling part. Darwin also helps the students practice good table etiquette through the dining part. They also learn how to socialize to people in formal gatherings.

This year's theme is Chinese. They decorated the place with Chinese-inspired decorations. They also served Chinese food.

I think everyone had so much fun in this event. Not only did we have fun, but learned so much about Chinese cuisine and culture too.

It's such a nice thing that Darwin has this kind of event.

When You Are Young, You Seem To Be Idealistic

Idealistic means unrealistic, visionary, and impractical. Juvenile people tend to imagine things. They think that they could do anything. Some think that they could be a superhero. Some think that they could be a princess in their own castle. While others tend to think that they could fly. But as people grow and mature, they tend to be more realistic. They think of more practical, logical things. They dream of having a house, a car, and a family of their own. They also dream of getting a job and be the CEO of their own company. It's just that everything takes time. And there's a time for everything.

A Musical In The Key Of Murder

Last Saturday (March 2), I watched No Way To Treat A Lady, Repertory Philippines' second offering for this year.

The story is about Christopher Gill, an actor whose mother's ghost constantly haunts him for never making it to the New York Times. Haunted by his failure, he turns into a killer of women and this made him land into the broadsheets. He resorts to tipping off Morris Brummell, a single and stressed police detective whose live-in cantankerous mother wishes him to be a successful Jewish doctor. The two build a strange alliance leading to a devilish blend of humor, romance, and murder in a theatrically charged musical comedy thriller based on a bestselling novel and renowned movie.  The cast is lead by Audie Gemora, who also directs the show, playing the role of the serial killer Christopher "Kit" Gill. Joining Audie is Joel Trinidad, who plays the role of the detective Morris Brummell. Also in the cast is Carla Guevara-Laforteza starring as Sarah Stone, Morris' love interest in the show. Pinky Marquez stars as Alexandra Gill, Kit's mother who is a celebrated Broadway actress. She also plays the role of all the victims of Kit. Sheila Francisco plays the role of Flora Brummell, Morris' mother.

The set is very excellent. It is very useful and they made the most out of it. I love how they enter from one side and leave into another. They used the stage efficiently.

The lighting is very commendable. I love how they dim the rest of the stage and just focus on one part of it.

The costumes were very remarkable and suitable to each character.

I have three favorite scenes or parts of this show. First is the opening. Audie is singing in one side of the stage while Joel gets dressed on the other. That's so professional to have a quick change without panicking in front of an audience. The second notable performance is how Pinky Marquez's character changes. Her accent changes with accordance to her character. Lastly, I like how the story ended. You guys should watch the show to know what I mean!
